The L’ESKIZZO Story From a jacket to a language of its own for the women’s wardrobe.
The story of a Ukrainian structured womenswear brand founded in 2015.
2015. A story that began with a personal need
L’ESKIZZO was founded in Kyiv in 2015 by Svitlana Filiuk. The idea for the brand grew out of her personal experience of working in an international corporate environment, where the jacket was always the foundation of the wardrobe.
For Svitlana, the jacket became a kind of second skin — a piece that structures the silhouette, shapes the image and highlights individuality. She bought most of her jackets in Europe, since in Ukraine at the time they were mostly seen as part of a formal rather than an everyday wardrobe.
That is how L’ESKIZZO was born — one of the first Ukrainian brands to make the jacket and structured womenswear the foundation of its design identity.
2015–2020. From a jacket brand to a structured wardrobe
Over its first five years, L’ESKIZZO gradually moved beyond the classic business suit, developing its own language of modern women’s tailoring.
Structured L’ESKIZZO jacket
Coats, dresses, trousers and other wardrobe pieces joined the jackets. At the same time, the jacket remained the central element of the brand’s DNA.
This was when L’ESKIZZO’s signature features took shape: architectural silhouettes, a strong shoulder line, an accentuated waist, corset elements, lacing and deconstruction.
The brand began to explore the interplay of masculine forms and feminine details, creating timeless clothing in which classic tailoring takes on a contemporary character.
Tender Tailoring. Strength in delicacy
At the heart of the L’ESKIZZO design philosophy is the concept of Tender Tailoring — a harmonious combination of precise construction and delicate femininity.
The brand reinterprets traditional elements of menswear tailoring through feminine proportions, creating silhouettes in which clean lines coexist with natural movement.

Strong shoulders can be paired with soft draping, a structured jacket with a fluid skirt, a classic form with unexpected details.
For L’ESKIZZO, femininity has no single definition. It can be restrained or bold, rational or emotional, strong and sensual at the same time.
Clothing should not impose a particular character on a woman. It should leave her the freedom to be different.
2022. Beauty as a form of inner resistance
After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, L’ESKIZZO continued to work and create collections in Kyiv.
The #timetolove collection was dedicated to love, femininity and inner strength in times of uncertainty. Its visual story, built around images of fantastical flowers, was a reminder of beauty’s power to support and inspire even in the most difficult circumstances.

That same year the brand presented The Knot — a collection exploring the contrast between the energy of the city and the harmony of nature.
The knot became its central symbol, uniting architectural tailoring with natural motifs. The collection also strengthened L’ESKIZZO’s accessories line, in which ties, belts and cufflinks became design statements in their own right.
2023. Clothing as a language of culture
The SLOVA SS'23 collection turned to Ukraine’s literary heritage, inspired by the poetry of Lesya Ukrainka and Olena Teliha.
The campaign, shot in the library of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, combined an intellectual aesthetic with contemporary fashion. One of the key pieces of the collection was a scarf-tie embroidered with lines by the Ukrainian poets.

During this period L’ESKIZZO broadened its understanding of clothing as a means of communication. The piece «Clothing as Language», featuring Yuliia Petryk, CEO of the Calibrated agency, explored the role of visual image and clothing diplomacy in an international setting.
Fashion thus became for the brand not only a means of self-expression, but also a starting point for conversations about women’s leadership, professional identity and culture.
2024. A timeless wardrobe
In 2024, L’ESKIZZO continued to develop the concept of timeless clothing through several key launches.

Afterglow focused on outerwear in Italian wool; Vernal Equinox, created in collaboration with stylist Maryna Martyniv, offered a modern take on the spring wardrobe; and the permanent Essentials line laid the foundation of versatile pieces that stay relevant beyond seasonal trends.
In 2024–2025 the brand also developed creative collaborations, including with the independent brand mush, and continued to explore the conciseness of form in the Sonnet collection.
2025. Ten years of L’ESKIZZO
In 2025 the brand celebrated its tenth anniversary with the KAMERTON FW'25 collection.

It became a reflection on the journey so far and a tribute to the woman who, from the very beginning, has remained L’ESKIZZO’s main inspiration.

The collection’s name — Ukrainian for “tuning fork” — symbolised the constancy of the brand’s own design voice: despite changing seasons, trends and silhouettes, it stays true to architectural form, intellectual femininity and the craft of cutting.
Education as part of the L’ESKIZZO culture
The founder’s education and her work in an international corporate environment became an important foundation for her entrepreneurial approach. Continuous learning and development gradually became an inseparable part of the L’ESKIZZO culture.
L’ESKIZZO: education as part of the brand culture
Today the brand sees education as an important area of its social responsibility. That is why L’ESKIZZO founded an annual educational scholarship designed to support the pursuit of knowledge and create new opportunities for growth.
Yuliia Petryk became the scholarship’s first ambassador.
2026. Women who inspire
In 2026, L’ESKIZZO presented ESSENCE, a research collection dedicated to a woman’s inner essence, her resilience, her convictions and her freedom of choice.
The campaign featured three Ukrainian leaders: Tetiana Lukyniuk, Olha Rudnieva and Sevgil Musaieva.

Through their personal stories, the brand addressed professional courage, responsibility, justice and the ability to stay true to oneself.

The collection continued L’ESKIZZO’s core mission — to support women in their wish to be themselves, without defining a single image of strength or femininity for them.

2026. L’ESKIZZO in Italy
In October 2026, L’ESKIZZO presented The Velvet Drop — Seven States of a Woman in Alberobello, Italy.
The presentation took place among the historic trulli, the traditional houses of Apulia, where architecture, craftsmanship and cultural heritage became part of the brand’s story.

The seven looks of the collection reflected different states of the modern woman, continuing the exploration of the many facets of femininity that lies at the heart of L’ESKIZZO.

A separate part of the event was the L’ESKIZZO Lab — a space dedicated to the process of making clothes. Through fabrics, patterns, construction elements and production details, guests could see the craftsmanship that usually stays behind the finished collection.

For L’ESKIZZO, this presentation marked an important stage of international growth and an example of experience marketing — an approach in which people get to know a brand through a complete cultural and emotional experience.

The craftsmanship behind the form
L’ESKIZZO creates its collections at its own atelier in Kyiv, keeping a direct link between the design idea, pattern making and sewing.
The team pays particular attention to fit, proportions and the details that define the character of a structured silhouette.
Work on a jacket includes exploring form, creating patterns, choosing materials, prototyping and refining the construction.
For L’ESKIZZO, a jacket is a kind of textile sculpture in which every line matters.
In its collections, the brand uses materials from European makers, including Italian textile companies with a long history.
Personalisation is also an important part of the L’ESKIZZO approach: made-to-measure tailoring and adapting garments to the individual figure.

Ukrainian roots. An international outlook
Born in Kyiv, L’ESKIZZO continues to create its collections in Ukraine while expanding its international presence.
As of 2026, the brand is represented in its own space in the historic centre of Kyiv, in partner concept stores in Lutsk, Rivne, Mukachevo, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi, as well as in Prague and London.
Working with European fabric makers, international partners and members of the fashion industry is part of L’ESKIZZO’s further development.
A story that continues
The L’ESKIZZO story began with a personal need to find the perfect jacket.
Over more than ten years, that idea has grown into a brand with its own design language, production, team and international ambitions.
Collections, materials and silhouettes change, but the essential remains constant — the conviction that clothing can be an extension of personality.
To structure an image without limiting freedom. To bring out character without imposing it.
L’ESKIZZO. Structure in motion, elegance in balance.
